The number of Pakistani students studying in the U.S. has been increasing every year.There is a huge variety of undergraduate and graduate options and a great variety of institutions, universities, and high-caliber programs in the United States. As indicated by the Institute of International Education’s 2020 Open Doors Report, about 7,000 students from Pakistan were pursuing study in the United States, resulting in a rise of almost 5.6% from 2019. Tuition varies regionally, programmatically, and institutionally. The average tuition for undergraduate study in the U.S. today is between $20,000 – $50,000 per year for academic year study. Master’s study ranges between $30,000 – $70,000 per year depending on the university and program, and there are of course some programs that are more expensive. Tuition is only one part of the student budget; there are living costs such as rent, utilities, food, local transport, health care, etc. Living costs also change regionally and vary based on the budget for a student’s lifestyle.
